How to read the table

  • Nominal or typical values in weight %. Ranges are analysis limits; “max” and “min” are maximum and minimum values; “bal.” is the base element. The actual composition of each lot is defined only by the material certificate.
  • UNS and W.Nr. (EN material number / Werkstoff-Nr.): reference equivalents, given only where certain. Equivalent materials from different standards may differ slightly in their analysis limits.
  • Alloys marked “Data sheet” have a full page with detailed composition, properties, applications and the forms we buy.
  • Cb (columbium) is the former American name for niobium (Nb).
