Titanium Grade 7
Purchase and sale of scrap and turnings of Titanium Grade 7 (Ti-0.15Pd): the palladium content makes this material particularly valuable for recovery. Fast quotations and collection throughout the territory.
Commercially pure titanium alloyed with a small palladium addition (0.12 – 0.25 %): it keeps the ductility and formability of Grade 2 but offers the highest corrosion resistance among titanium grades, especially in reducing acid environments and where crevice corrosion is a risk. Reference markets: chemical and process industry, hydrometallurgy, pulp bleaching and electrochemical plants.
- Forms scrap · turnings · chips · cut pieces
- Density 4.51 g/cm³
- Palladium 0.12 – 0.25 % Pd
Main elements
| Titanium (Ti) | balance |
|---|---|
| Palladium (Pd) | 0.12 – 0.25 % |
| Iron (Fe) | ≤ 0.30 % |
| Oxygen (O) | ≤ 0.25 % |
| Carbon (C) | ≤ 0.08 % |
| Nitrogen (N) | ≤ 0.03 % |
| Hydrogen (H) | ≤ 0.015 % |
Indicative values according to ASTM B265 / ASTM B348 (Grade 7). The palladium content is certified for each batch: it is the element that determines the recovery value.
Physical and mechanical data
| Density | 4.51 g/cm³ |
|---|---|
| Tensile strength Rm | ≥ 345 MPa (typical 400 – 550 MPa) |
| Yield strength Rp0.2 | 275 – 450 MPa |
| Elongation A | ≥ 20 % |
| Hardness | ≈ 145 – 200 HV |
| Elastic modulus | ≈ 105 GPa |
| Structure | α (hexagonal, single-phase) |
Mechanical properties match those of Grade 2; palladium acts on corrosion resistance, not on mechanical strength. Indicative values.
